WHO IS BEHIND COSMIC CAT?!

Welcome to Wild Purple Press, home of Cosmic Cat and all his gear!  My name is Amy and I am on a mission to create fun books for kids that help them build essential life skills while they have a blast!  My partner in creativity is Cosmic Cat, a superhero adventure kitty who navigates through his books with courage and imagination, leading the way for kids who love to have fun.

All this fun is designed to help kids develop increased word skills, concentration, art abilities, and critical-thinking. As they complete each puzzle, they nurture their self-esteem. When they train their brains, they develop confidence in their abilities to tackle larger challenges. Cosmic encourages kids to complete what they start, and to never give up. We want to give kids fun tools to develop the tenacity and skills that will help them reach their dreams! 

When I am not teamed up with that crazy cat, I am often exploring our woods with our 3 dogs: Lola the Boxer mix, Luke the Black Lab, and wee Angus, the Beagle. We are often accompanied by our rescue kitty Rylie, who modeled for Cosmic Cat! I enjoy working jigsaw & word puzzles, cooking, reading, gardening, and hiking with the puppers. We all live here in Central Indiana, where we are visited by a multitude of bird and hawk species, racoons, opossum, foxes, and white tail deer. We even see the occasional bald eagle, WOW!

I founded Wild Purple Press as a vehicle to spread my own brand of positive thinking out into the world. Why wild? It was one WILD ride to launch my own publishing business. Why purple? The color purple is symbolic for standing strong despite all adversities. It represents strength, courage, and resilience.

I love the ripple effect. You know, the concept of a tiny pebble being thrown into a pond which creates ripples that expand out further and further until they travel clear to the edges of the water. You just never know what positive effects your ripples might have out there if you never give up on tossing in those good pebbles!
